Google founder will become a space tourist

One of the founders of the Google Company Sergey Brin will take part in the first commercial mission of Russian spaceship "Soyuz" in 2011.

According to the information of the publication Brin has become the new investor of Space Adventures Company that is engaged in arranging for space tourists to visit ISS. The founder of Google has invested 5 million dollars into the company, and this money will be reckoned as mission payment.

Yahoo! shareholders named the reason for the cessation of the deal with Microsoft

Yahoo! shareholders filed a suit against the committee of directors, claiming that its members were personally guilty of Microsoft refusal to purchase the search engine for 47.5 billion dollars. The plaintiffs consider one of the main reasons of refusal the costly system of firing, accepted by the top-management soon after receiving Microsoft's offer.

Microsoft offered over 40 billion dollars for Yahoo! at the end of January - beginning of February. The top-management however refused the offer claiming that the search engine was worth more.

Russia's President called Cyrillic domain names a "serious stuff"

The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev urged to do everything possible to create Internet domain names in Cyrillic alphabet, reports "Interfax". He called it a "serious stuff" that would have a symbolic meaning for the Russian language and Cyrillic alphabet.

In the judgement of Medvedev Russia has pretty good chances of achieving the approval of the Internet community for assigning sites domain names in Cyrillic alphabet, RIA News note.

Microsoft will buy the biggest search engine of Czechia

The first world producer of software production Microsoft is holding negotiations about purchase of the biggest Internet-portal and search engine of Czechia - Seznam.cz. The purchase of Seznam is a logical step towards strengthening of its position in the on-line market of Europe.

Seznam with the daily audience of 2.1 million visitors was founded by Lukakovich in 1996 and has become the first Czech search engine. The total amount of transaction will probably exceed 1 billion US dollars.
